Well it’s been a few days since I’ve posted anything, and I just really don’t have anything to talk about! No crazy duck today, nothing really going on….
You can chat with me if you are visiting my blog…just stopping by to say hi, or whatever! Over on the left <-
I have lots of free samples available. You can try the Eucalyptus, HollyBerry Balsam, or Pumpkin Cheesecake…just let me know! The Pumpkin Cheesecake is just terriffic! I can’t say enough about it! I’ve sold 3 jars in the last two days alone!
Early this morning, my kids went out back to check on the dogs…and my middle son noticed that it sounded like a duck outside. Well lo and behold, our dogs had found a duck and were ‘checking it out’. I’m not sure if they were trying to attack it or play with it…but they scared it. For a while, it just laid in the grass, and didn’t want to move, even when I went near. Now, it is up walking around my porch quacking. It is loud! I don’t know how to get rid of it, I tried to shuffle it out the gate, but it didn’t want to go…..however, I don’t want my dogs getting it again
They are in the kennel now. I guess we’ll see what happens.
I live in the city, and I have a duck quacking in my backyard….and my neighbors complained about my dogs barking…hhmmmmm
I had to go to the DMV today to get some records for a friend. I was prepared for a long wait….this being the standard at our primary office. I was pleasantly surprised. While I was there, getting the records, I was able to finally get my name changed on my drivers license and get an id card also (backup is always good). Yay! Then it was off to the bank to get my checking account updated with my new name (I was married in May….about time huh???)LOL. In and out in under 5 minutes. Holy cow! Everything was just WORKING today! It was very nice!
So, while I was driving around town today, I passed a sign…at a church…I had to do a double-take, then go back and take a picture! Here you go, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
I was ‘tag surfing’ tonight, as I do most nights, in search of neat, new blogs that I may otherwise never see. I found this great post including lots of pictures of clay pot people. Very neat, and creative. Thank you for sharing!
A while ago I posted about the meat salesman that came to my door….and what a sucker I am for door-to-door sales…I feel like I should be supporting everybody! But I can’t!!!! Well….today he came back. ‘Just checking up on us’ to see how we liked the meat..etc…etc..etc. I politely told him that financially, we weren’t able to commit to anything at this time. And off he went. I did it!!!
Our newest fragrance is Eucalyptus, and it is good! A very soft, mellow, soothing fragrance. Very nice for fall, especially if you have been feeling under the weather with a cold. You can visit my website and request a free sample. While you’re there, don’t forget to enter the free candle drawing! You can win a 16oz. jar candle, 12 votives, and a natural bath & body bar (soap alternative).
I also created a couple of banners by myself this time
Let me know what you think
My cousin is back in town, and we’re hanging out with him and his girlfriend. Tonight, she made dinner for us, and boy was it good! My entire family loved it and voted it to be ‘on the menu’
This recipe can be used for breakfast or dinner…
1 loaf of french bread (seasoned bread is yummy with this also!)
1 pkg. Sage Sausage (yes it must be Sage flavored)
1 egg
1/2c. milk
4-8oz shredded chese
Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat (making it crumbled). While you are cooking, take the loaf of bread, slice it in half longways (making the bottom a little deeper than the top), and hollow it out, saving the pieces of bread in a medium mixing bowl. When the sausage is cooked, drain the grease and put it in the bowl with the bread. Add the egg, and about 1/2 of the cheese. Mix. Put 1/2 of the remaining cheese into the bottom of the bead. Put the mixture on top of the cheese. Sprinkle remaining cheese on the top of the mixture. Cover with the top. Brush with butter, wrap in aluminum foil and place in a 350 degree oven for about 20-30 minutes (long enough to warm through).
Remove from aluminum foil and broil for just a minute or two to crisp up the crust.
Slice and serve.
IF you have leftovers, wrap and store in fridge, and eat cold (or warm) in the morning for breakfast.
My husband, who is trying to work off his extra weight has affectionately named this Heaven and Hell. He said it’s Heaven to eat but it will be Hell to work off! Visit his blog (I’m sure he’ll have something humorous to say about this dinner.)
Today Elizabeth from Virgina joined my team! I am very excited to be working with her, she has previous direct-sales experience, and has already sold candles to help her get her business started. She’s a real go-getter, and I couldn’t have asked for a better team member! She’ll probably never see this, but I’m glad to have her nonetheless.
If you are interested in earning extra money selling candles, or joining a great, growing team, please let me know. I will give you more information, and you can find out if this might be a good fit for you!

I got a new banner today, I really like it! I’d like to give a quick thank-you to Deana @ Kidzoos for designing my banner. She is a real pleasure to work with!
October’s Candle of the Month fragrance is a very soothing Eucalyptus. I was a little hesitant to try it, because I don’t really think of Eucalyptus as a candle fragrance. However, this one is great! I’ve been sick for the last two weeks, and I definitely wish I had this jar burning while I was all stuffed up and congested! If you would like a sample, please visit my website and request your free sample today.
